Osaka, Japan
arbol is an Osaka-based architecture studio founded in 2009 by Yousaku Tsutsumi, who leads the practice with his wife and partner Madoca Tsutsumi. The studio works across residential architecture, interiors, and landscape design, with a practice centered on minimalism, sustainability, and natural materials. arbol's projects consistently integrate Japanese design culture with international architectural influences, creating compact homes that promote the well-being of their inhabitants through natural light, ventilation, and material quality. The studio is known for its series of small Osaka residences, including House in Nishimikuni, House in Kawachinagano, and House in Ohasu. Work has been featured in Dezeen, Dwell, ArchDaily, Designboom, and PLAIN Magazine.
