Ansião, Portugal
Bruno Dias Arquitectura is an architectural studio founded in Ansião, Portugal in 2012 by Bruno Lucas Dias, who graduated from the University of Arts in Coimbra in 2007 and worked in Algeria, Switzerland, and France before returning to his home country. The studio works with a collaborative structure that includes engineers, landscape architects, and designers, specializing in small-scale residential, service, and public facility projects. The majority of the studio's work is materialized in concrete, pine wood, and glass, with a commitment to using genuine materials rather than imitations. Bruno Dias Arquitectura prioritizes the formal dynamics and interaction between architecture and its surroundings in each project. Recognition includes selection in PNAM'17 (National Architectural Prize in Wood) for Moinho das Fragas, the Architecture MasterPrize 2022 in the Residential Architecture single-family category, and Jovens Arquitectos 2022 for Âmago House. Work has been published in Designboom, ArchDaily, Dezeen, and ArchiDiaries.
