BY ARCHITECTURE is a Seoul-based architecture collective established in 2016, based in Jongno-gu. The practice's name reflects its core attitude: looking at people and society through architecture, and exploring the balance between life and the built environment. The studio works without strict disciplinary boundaries, seeking architectural construction that spans scales and functions, and maintains a consistent interest in how completed spaces are used and observed over time as a way of understanding contemporary architectural practice. CP Project was designed in collaboration with MMK (Museum of Modern Kitchen), a Seoul-based kitchen and furniture brand located in Yongsan-gu whose slogan is 'We build kitchen culture'. MMK operates a physical showroom-museum on Sowol-gil alongside its kitchen and furniture practice, producing custom kitchen systems in metal and a range of furniture pieces.
