Curiosity is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Tokyo, founded by French designer Gwenäel Nicolas. The studio works across interior design, architecture, furniture, product design, and graphic design, with a consistent interest in redefining the boundaries between disciplines in a concrete, collaborative way. Curiosity's approach is characterized by translucency, emotional engagement, and formal originality, with each project conceived as a layered experience that reveals itself gradually through interaction and use. Clients include Issey Miyake, Shiseido, Coach, Canon, Sony, and a range of Japanese and international brands and private clients. Architecture projects include residential work in Japan, including WA House in Shirahama, designed in collaboration with Atelier Haretoke.
