Héctor Esrawe

Mexico City, Mexico

Héctor Esrawe (b. 1968, Mexico City) is a furniture and interior designer who founded Esrawe Studio in 2003, a multidisciplinary design practice working across furniture, interior design, architecture, installations, and museography. He studied Industrial Design at the Universidad Iberoamericana, where he later taught from 1997 to 2001, before becoming Design Director at Centro, where he created the Industrial Design degree program. Esrawe's practice is grounded in Mexican artisanal heritage and an understanding of materials, processes, and craft, producing limited-edition collectible pieces in numbered series alongside commercial furniture and interior projects. He is co-founder of EWE, VISSIO, and MASA, which promote Mexican collectible design, and a founding partner of the perfumery brand Xinú. Work has been exhibited internationally at Objective Gallery (China and New York), Ateliers Courbet (New York), Collectional Gallery (UAE), Oliver Gustav (Copenhagen), and MASA Galería at Rockefeller Center, and is held in the permanent collection of the High Museum in Atlanta. Awards include Mexico's Best Interior Designer at Firenze Entremuros 2019, the AZ Award 2018, the Wallpaper Design Award 2018, and the Créateurs Design Award for Best Limited Series and Bespoke Design 2024.
