LI-AN-LO Studio

LI-AN-LO Studio is a furniture and interior design studio run by Lina Rex, based in Bodafors, Småland, Sweden. The studio's practice centers on a specific material mission: giving new life to trees that the industry typically rejects. The largest trees, those too wide for standardized sawmill processes, are usually reduced to wood chips for the heating industry. The same fate befalls bark beetle-infested timber, which in most cases retains its structural quality. LI-AN-LO works exclusively with these non-standard Swedish trees, using the material as the starting point for each design. The resulting forms are organic and shaped by what the material allows, rather than imposed on it. All objects are produced in Bodafors from Swedish raw materials. The studio also accepts custom commissions for both public and private projects. Ingemar, a cabinet produced by the studio, was selected as one of the winners of Young Swedish Design 2025.
