Max Lamb

London, UK

Max Lamb makes furniture and objects in London, working with stone, metal, and resin. He studied at the Royal College of Art, then set up his own workshop in 2006. Production methods include sand-casting pewter, pouring polyurethane foam into beach sand, and carving granite with power tools. Recent work includes chairs cast in recycled aluminum, tables in marble and steel, and stools in solid pewter. Lamb develops new techniques for each project rather than repeating established processes. Work has been shown at the Victoria & Albert Museum and is held in the permanent collection at MoMA.
