Panorammma

Panorammma is a Mexico City-based furniture design studio founded in 2020 by Maika Palazuelos. Palazuelos grew up in Monterrey, studied art and painting in both Mexico and the United States, and completed a master's degree in contemporary design in Barcelona in 2022 before returning to Mexico City. The studio began as an extension of her personal practice and grew after people started asking to buy her pieces. Panorammma's work treats functionality as a premise for visual and narrative possibility, using materials including chainmail, volcanic tezontle stone, polished industrial slag, and stainless steel to produce objects that introduce ideas of fiction into domestic space. The studio has exhibited at Zona Maco, MASA Galeria at Rockefeller Center, TRNK Gallery, and Galerie Philia, and has been featured in Wallpaper, Dezeen, and Sight Unseen.
