Markus Töll builds chairs from his Vienna studio, founded in 2022 after earning a master's in architecture from TU Vienna. Raised in Bressanone, Italy, he first learned metalwork with industrial materials before studying architecture. Now working exclusively with steel, Töll creates metal chairs through hand-forging and welding. His work reveals structure through visible welding points and bending marks rather than concealing fabrication methods. Each chair is shaped through direct engagement with material, questioning conventional proportion and comfort through structural honesty.
