Tomohiro Hata founded his architecture office in Kobe in 2005. He studied at Kyoto University and worked at Shin Takamatsu & Associates before establishing his own practice. The firm handles residential, commercial, and public buildings across Japan. Projects include single-family houses, multi-unit housing, retail interiors, and cultural facilities. Work uses concrete, steel, and timber construction. The studio designs for Japanese building regulations and seismic requirements. Recent projects range from urban Tokyo sites to regional locations in Wakayama and Nagano prefectures. Hata teaches architecture at Kobe Design University and Kyoto University. The firm has received awards from the Architectural Institute of Japan and Good Design Awards.
