BonVivant fills a Mallorcan estate with work by local artists, connecting ceramics, paintings, and textiles to the island's craft traditions.
BonVivant designed Son Serra, a minimalist estate on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The design firm incorporated works by local artists throughout the residence to create distinctive character while respecting the property's historical context as a traditional finca.
The layout combines kitchen and living room into a single communal space for family gatherings. Traditional cookware sourced from the Son Serra area connects current inhabitants with the property's agricultural past. This integration of historical elements maintains continuity with the site's original function.
Custom elements include a bathtub designed by BonVivant's studio and the firm's Plat Pendant Lamp. These bespoke pieces sit alongside local stone floors, plaster walls, and timber beams from the original finca structure.
Local artists' work hangs throughout the house. Traditional Mallorcan cookware occupies kitchen shelves alongside contemporary fixtures. The estate holds both the finca's agricultural history and BonVivant's material additions within a single domestic program.
