I.T. Small Apartment is a Vilnius apartment by Ingrida Bieliaūskė of October Design Studio, organized around a clear material split between public and private zones. The hallway, kitchen, and living room are finished predominantly in light grey, a neutral ground that lets textural differences in the walls and floors register rather than compete with each other. The restraint is deliberate: the palette leaves room for the apartment to evolve through whatever art or objects the owner adds over time.

The bedroom and bathroom shift to a predominantly white palette, with color introduced in specific, considered moments rather than throughout. The bathroom holds the apartment's most striking material decision: tiles by FormaFantasma, finished in a volcanic ash glaze. The glaze gives the tiles an uneven, mineral surface that changes how light reflects off them depending on the angle, turning a functional surface into the room's primary visual interest.

The bedroom pairs the bed and wardrobe as a single integrated unit, a practical response to the apartment's compact footprint that also gives the room a cleaner, less fragmented layout. The headboard's color is matched to the bathroom tiles, creating a quiet material connection between the 2 private rooms. Stainless steel appears throughout the apartment in furniture, shelving, and fittings, introducing a consistent reflective note that keeps the overall palette from reading as flat or overly soft.
