Byungsub Kim

Byungsub Kim (b. 1997) is a Seoul-based designer who studied spatial design and works across functional objects, furniture, and interior design. His practice sits between tradition and the contemporary, drawing from antique Korean furniture, brushstrokes in painting, and the modern urban environment. Kim is affiliated with the Seoul spatial design studio PRACTICE and presents personal work through exhibitions and design fairs. His Time of Steel series, produced in black oxidized CR steel, was shown at GSL Gallery in Paris in 2024. He has collaborated with designer Jungwoo Rhee on the Mo30 lounge chair.
